ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are looking for a strategic, highly motivated Procurement Specialist to support our growing team. This position is responsible for sourcing materials within tight budget and
timeline constraints, managing inventory, vendor relations, and detailed record keeping as well as reporting. To be successful, you must be extremely organized, deadline-driven, an exceptional communicator, and have excellent technological proficiency. Plant and landscape material knowledge is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing material needs and budgets with project teams.

  • Providing updated pricing, availability, and photos as requested.

  • Reporting to project team on pricing variance, substitution needs, timelines, etc.

  • Generating purchase orders and coordinating with vendors on fulfillment details.

  • Sourcing materials on time, within budget, with detailed reporting throughout the process.

  • Negotiating pricing with vendors and suppliers.

  • Strategically coordinating delivery logistics, mobilization, and managing resources for timely arrival and proper staging, assisting in the field as needed.

  • Monitoring plant health from point of delivery to planting installation, ensuring consistent quality.

  • Proactively inspecting quality of product and assessing vendor site conditions.

  • Resolving price disputes and arranging returns.

  • Monitoring on-hand inventory and re-stocking on a routine basis.

  • Reconciling and reporting on end of month inventory allocations and associated profit/loss.

  • Daily digital receipt and data entry, filing, and organizational activities.

  • Audit invoices and associated job allocations for accuracy in reporting.

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current vendors.

  • Researching new vendor and product options for recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role.

  • Skills in managing multiple and competing priorities as well as logistics coordination.

  • Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as ability to quickly learn complex project management system, Aspire.

  • Exceptional communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multi-task while remaining organized and attentive to detail.

  • Energetic, positive, and approachable, with a motivation to help others.

  • Ability to sit at a computer for long period of time as this is a mostly sedentary role.

  • Ability to lift materials up to 30lbs to assist in loading/unloading as needed.

  • Ability to monitor materials and facility in inclement weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
